What salary does a neonatal nurse make?  The salary for a neonatal nurse depends on a variety of factors, including: location, years of experience, education and sometimes certifications.  Salary also geatly depends on overtime worked, holidays worked, and amount of time taken off, due to neonatal nurses having an hourly salary.  This fluctuates the salary range.

Average neonatal nursing salary according to the Council of International Neonatal Nurses is anywhere from $56,000 to $80,000 per year.
Neonatal Nurse Practitioners make around $74,000 per year.  NNPs are usually salaried with no hourly rates.

A neonatal MRI, or magnetic resonance imaging, is a diagnostic imaging procedure that utilizes a combination of a computer, radio frequencies, and a magnet to generate detailed images of organs and other inner-body structures.  When performed on premature infants, a neonatal MRI can help map certain areas of the brain, brain stem and spinal cord.
